MCS-1 Control

Hive data, always at hand.

The MCS-1 NFC tag assigns a digital identifier to each hive — the beekeeper opens the complete data sheet with a single touch.

Instant identification

The NFC tag on the hive identifies the colony with a single touch — no manual searching, no misreading, no lost data sheet.

Digital data sheet

Treatment history, queen replacement date, observations, measurement data — the complete beekeeping log on the phone screen, instantly and organized.

Ecosystem integration

The MCS-1 links MSC-1 sensor data, MIS-1 weight measurements and the MSM-1 stimulation log — one hive, all data in one place.

How does it work?

Four simple steps — and the complete hive data sheet is in your hands, anywhere on the apiary.

  1. Installation

The MCS-1 NFC tag is placed on the hive — a weatherproof case protects it in the field.

  2. Scanning

Without opening the Meliovate app, simply hold your phone to the tag — the data sheet opens immediately.

  3. Data sheet opens

The colony complete profile: history, measurements, treatments, observations and ecosystem data.

  4. Update

Note an observation, queen replacement, treatment — data syncs to the platform immediately.

Part of an ecosystem

The MCS-1 is the gateway of the Meliovate ecosystem — the NFC tag connects the physical hive to the digital platform, making every device data accessible with a single touch.

Frequently asked questions

How does the MCS-1 work?

Each hive carries an NFC tag with a digital identifier. A single phone tap opens that hive in the Meliovate app, with its records from the MSC-1 sensors, the MIS-1 scale and the MSM-1 stimulation log.

Which phones are supported?

iPhone 7 and newer and Android phones with NFC. Native NFC reading works without installing an extra app.

What are the planned specifications?

An NTAG215 chip (ISO 14443-A, NFC Forum Type 2) with a read range of about 1 to 5 cm, an IP67 weatherproof case and an operating range of -30 °C to +70 °C. Mounting is self-adhesive or by screw.

Is the MCS-1 available?

The MCS-1 is in the prototype phase. Registered users receive the exact release date and the pre-order option first.
